Bob is a leading interpreter and scholar of music of the sea whose recordings bring fresh repertoire to the world of maritime music. In addition, Bob is a music educator with years of experience in multicultural movement and anglo-american dance traditions. This site offers recordings and resources for both singers and teachers.

Bob can frequently be found at the First Monday Shanty Sing held at the Dubliner in St. Paul, Minnesota at 7:30 on the first Monday of each month. Thanks to Phil Platt and Nat Case for hosting this rousing evening.

Bob is also available as an artist-in-residence for schools, and as a community dance leader and musician. Just give me an excuse to make music!
